Countryside House
Designed by Ana Veraldo
This charming farmhouse was built using the ancient rammed earth technique, with locally sourced soil and a strong emphasis on integration with the surrounding landscape. The project embraces sustainability by prioritizing natural materials and passive thermal comfort strategies.
The earthen walls are formed by compressing a mixture of soil and cement into wooden molds, creating monolithic, highly resistant structures. This construction method significantly reduces the need for artificial climate control, offering a naturally balanced indoor environment in harmony with nature.
The natural texture and earthy tones of the walls enhance the rustic yet sophisticated identity of the design.
